Our mission is to partner with families to provide Christ-centered
education and discipleship that meets the needs of each student.
Everything we do flows from this mission statement, and every phrase carries weight:

Our mission is...
Our mission is what we're setting out to do. It describes the what, not the why. The why (in other words, the reason behind what we're doing, and the overall of our mission) is in the vision statement, which you can read further down this page.Â

to partner with families...
We believe God has given parents the primary responsibility for raising and discipling their children (Deuteronomy 6:4–9; Ephesians 6:4). A Christian school is not a replacement for the home or the local church but a partner with both. For that reason, we seek to build relationships with families marked by trust, communication, encouragement, and accountability. We want parents to know what their children are learning, how they are growing, and how we can work together to help them flourish academically, socially, and spiritually. Christian education is most effective when home and school pursue the same goal together.

to provide Christ-centered education...
Jesus Christ is the person at the center of everything we teach. Because all things were created through Him and for Him (Colossians 1:16–17), every academic discipline ultimately finds its meaning in Him. Whether students study mathematics, science, history, literature, music, or visual arts, we desire to help them see the beauty, order, truth, and purpose of God's creation through the lordship of Christ. A Christ-centered education does not merely add Bible classes to a traditional curriculum. It teaches students to view every area of life through the truth of God's Word and the person of Jesus Christ.

Education is more than the transfer of information. It is the cultivation necessary for wisdom. We believe students should learn not only facts but also how to think carefully, reason honestly, communicate clearly, solve problems effectively, appreciate beauty, pursue excellence, and distinguish truth from error. Knowledge alone is not enough. True education guides students to trust, acknowledge, and glorify God by loving Him with all their heart, soul, strength, and mind.

and discipleship...
Jesus commanded His followers to make disciples, teaching them to observe all that He commanded (Matthew 28:19–20). Therefore, we seek to encourage students toward an authentic relationship with Christ through faithful teaching, biblical instruction, loving accountability, godly example, prayer, worship, and intentional mentoring. While only the Holy Spirit can transform the human heart, we desire to faithfully point every student toward Christ and encourage continual growth in faith and obedience.Â

to meet the needs of each student.
Every child enrolled at this school is uniquely created in the image of God and entrusted to our care. Students possess different gifts, abilities, backgrounds, personalities, interests, strengths, and challenges. Because of this, we seek to know every student and to respond thoughtfully to his or her individual educational, spiritual, social, and overall developmental needs. This means that we strive to understand each child well enough to provide appropriate encouragement, challenge, instruction, and support so that every student has the opportunity to grow toward his or her God-given potential.Â

Our vision is to graduate students who understand the gospel,
know Christ, and make Him known.
This is our prayer and desire for every student who walks through our doors. While only God can change the human heart, we seek to faithfully teach, disciple, encourage, and equip students so that, by His grace, they leave Calvary better prepared to faithfully follow Christ throughout their lives, knowing what they believe, why they believe, and how to live it out. Every decision we make should be in total support of every part of this vision.Â

to graduate students...
One of the goals of every school--public or private--is for every student to graduate, prepared with newfound wisdom for the next phase of life. While we work tirelessly to tailor our educational approach to each child's needs, the students themselves are responsible for completing all graduation requirements. When a student graduates from Calvary, they are graduating because they earned it.

who understand the gospel...
We desire for every graduate to understand the grand story of Scripture—from creation and the fall to redemption through Jesus Christ and the coming restoration of all things. Students should understand humanity's need for salvation, the holiness of God, the person and work of Jesus Christ, salvation by grace through faith, repentance, sanctification, and the hope of eternal life. We also want students to think critically about each component of the gospel so they can better understand the reasons why there is no other way to eternal life except the Lord Jesus.

Understanding the gospel means more than memorizing facts. It means understanding why the gospel is true, why it matters, and why it is humanity's only hope. If a person hears the gospel and believes with childlike faith, but goes years without gaining a deeper understanding of it, then their faith, assurance of eternal security, and understanding about salvation itself can feel very unstable and result in great distress. Furthermore, if they cannot explain the gospel—even in simple terms—then they cannot accurately explain it to someone else, which hinders their evangelical and discipleship efforts. This is the greatest burden we have at Calvary: to help children understand the gospel so they can believe it, be assured by it, and accurately tell it to someone else. This is not a guarantee that every single student will understand and believe, but it is a guarantee that we want to do everything we can to help these children, in full support of the Holy Spirit's work of drawing people to saving faith in Christ.Â

know Christ...
Christianity is not merely the acceptance of a set of beliefs. It is a relationship with the one, true, living God. We desire for students to know Christ, and grow in the knowledge of God through His Word, prayer, worship, fellowship with His people, and faithful obedience. We encourage students to develop habits that continue long after graduation—reading and memorizing Scripture carefully, praying consistently, participating faithfully in the local church, and pursuing continual spiritual growth.

We recognize that only the Holy Spirit can bring a person to genuine faith. Therefore, our responsibility is not to manufacture spiritual transformation but to faithfully proclaim Christ, teach His Word, model Christian character, and lovingly and urgently encourage students to respond to the gospel with repentance and faith. Our prayer is that students would not merely know about Christ, but truly know Him in a relational sense.

and make Him know.
Jesus commanded His followers to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19–20). Therefore, Christian education should never end with personal knowledge alone. We desire for our graduates to faithfully represent Christ wherever God calls them—whether in their homes, churches, workplaces, universities, communities, or around the world.
Making Christ known includes both our words and our lives. We want students to communicate the gospel clearly, defend their faith graciously, serve others with humility, love their neighbors faithfully, and demonstrate the character of Christ in every area of life.Â

We believe that students who understand the gospel, know Christ, and make Him known should become lifelong learners who can read carefully, think critically, discern wisely, and faithfully apply God's truth throughout every season of life. Our desire is not only to prepare students for college and career, but to prepare them to continue growing in wisdom, knowledge, and Christlikeness, acknowledging the Lord in their relationships, lifestyle, and every aspect of life. Ultimately, we desire every Calvary graduate to possess the wisdom to discern what is true, the character to do what is right, and the faith to follow Christ faithfully throughout life.
